I think after hitting 800 units of total inventory in storage we are finished shopping and are now preparing for our grand opening. The only thing left to do is take possession of our store and set it up. We originally thought we would have an entire month to prepare but not everything is going to plan with construction. These things happen. We'll adjust.
Last year when I was the Executive Director of Lilley Cares we pulled off a fantastic pop up shop in Spring lake in combination with our soon to be new neighbors Pine Street Mercantile. This store came to be after less than 2 weeks of prep time. I truly believe we can do the same here.
Pine Street is quickly becoming a vintage shoppers destination and Vintage Deluxe will be the 4th vintage shop in a 2 block area. Our business depends on others to survive and we have a great group of small business owners here. We are truly excited to partner with them all and maximize on what is happening in Muskegon.
I moved to Michigan over 2 years ago and have yet to leave once since arriving. The first year was spent starting a new business and a non for profit with my partner at the time and these last few months were spent preparing for this new adventure. Now that we are finished shopping and have done as much prep work as can be done prior to taking the space we will be leaving for a few weeks for a bit of rest and relaxation. I need it desperately and Sissy does too.
When we return in a few weeks we will open the store and welcome all of you in.
I will also be starting work at a new Muskegon non for profit called "Lakeshore legacy project." If you have not heard of it yet you will soon. This organization focuses on Income inequality for our youth in Muskegon and beyond. I would urge you to go on Facebook and follow them. They are a fantastic organization that is doing some seriously good things in our community. If its in your heart consider donating your time or resources to them.
As always if you have any questions please reach out to me directly at Robert@VintageDeluxeOnline.com or by phone. My cell is on the front page the website.
See you soon-
Robert and Sissy
