I would like to take this opportunity and describe some things we plan to do at the shop and explain the ethos behind the idea.
First and foremost Vintage Deluxe will be an affordable place to find those "cant live without" items. Our shop will change constantly and our plan is to not have merchandise get stale. We always look for timeless, classic, and iconic pieces that we can all use. I will be shopping constantly to replenish and always look for quality pieces. If you see something and like it we recommend you get it. I promise it will be gone if you wait.
Vintage 'deluxe is more than shopping. Our Social program is your opportunity to come out and meet neighbors, friends, and explore. We are planning pot lucks, classes, and much much more. If you sign up for our news letter you will be the first to hear when something special arrives and when we have a special event. Plan on arriving to a shop transformed for a large sit down dinner party, a master class on candle making, or an impromptu dance class.
In addition to selling vintage goods we also have our own in-house brand called vindel. vindel is our brand of handcrafted and onsite made candles and select body products. We literally make these in the shop. We use only the finest ingredients and never use colorings, preservatives, or other no good things. If it has our label you can trust its pure.
vindel also sells select mens clothing. Each vintage piece is carefully sourced, cleaned, mended if necessary, and rebranded with our vindel tags. At opening we will focus on mens shirts and flannels. As the year progresses we will expand to include more mens staples. Each piece will be unique and individual.
More than all of the above Vintage Deluxe is a lifestyle. Pass by and say hello, join us for a cup of coffee, or just hangout and listen to some great music. The idea of a shop that is more than the sum of its parts has always appealed to me and I think Muskegon in 2022 is the perfect spot to play with this idea.
There are no words to describe the excitement I feel towards this venture. Although it seems like a natural progression for me I am surprised it has taken me this long to realize it. What do you think?
